Early Childhood and Youth

Early Childhood & Youth focuses on issues related to young children (from birth to eight years) with special needs and their families including:

  1. Community training and technical assistance to promote family-centered and interagency systems of care.
  2. Inclusive early intervention and preschool programs. Secondarily, this area focuses on issues of school-aged children with and without developmental disabilities.

This priority area focuses primarily on issues related to young children with special needs (ages birth through eight) and their families.
