(1/13/26) – In this episode, Skye talks with Gabe Savage, a self-advocate from Kansas City, Missouri. In 2025, Gabe received the Eitas Advocate of the Year Award. He has been involved with Partners in Policymaking for a year and a half. He is also the vice president of the People First of Missouri-Roo Chapter.

(7/22/25) – In this episode, Skye talks with Jaylin Brown, a student from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Jaylin is a student of the UMSL-Office of Inclusive Postsecondary Education’s Succeed PLUS Program and is very active on campus. As a high school student who was treated unfairly because of his disability, Jaylin has a strong interest in promoting self-advocacy and disability equity.

(7/8/25) – In this episode, Skye talks with Amanda Koch about what being a part of a community means to her. Amanda is a self-advocate leader and a founding member of People First of Franklin County. She has also served as past president of MOAAIDD, is very involved with projects at UMKC-IHD and an active member of Special Olympics.

(6/24/25) – In this episode, Skye talks with Kayla Aldridge, who lives in Moberly, Missouri. She is the president of People First of Randolph County, Missouri. She is also a micro-influencer on TikTok and does makeup videos.

(6/10/25) – In this episode, Skye talks with Erin Bowe, who shares the challenges people with disabilities can face with transportation. Erin is a People First member of St. Charles, Missouri. She’s earning her degree in Sociology at Lindenwood University. She loves costume-making and crafting.

(5/27/25) – Skye talks with Candace Cunningham about an important disability topic, financial wellness.

Candace is a research aide at the Institute for Human Development at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Candace works with individuals across the country coordinating the Self-Advocacy Resource and Technical Center (SARTAC) Fellowship. She is a person with lived experience from Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She has a master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling. She started participating in advocacy efforts in 2006.

(5/13/25) – Skye talks with Nicole Noblet who talks about an important disability topic – voting. 

Nicole works at Eitas as a peer support resource specialist. She is also a visual artist and a published author. Nicole has taught writing classes to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and helped with other projects that require creativity and an artist’s eye.

(4/22/25) – Skye talks about an important disability topic: “Being Free from Bullying in the Education System.”

Skye is a research assistant who works for the WeSaid at the UCEDD at UMKC-IHD. She is currently a master’s student at UMKC where she studies Higher Education Administration and Disability Leadership.

He is also a doctoral student at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where he studies the positive aspects of risk-taking and what creativity may or may not do to enhance a person’s positive risk.

(12/10/24) – Skye talks with April Regester, associate professor of Inclusive Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Regester serves as the department chair for Educator Preparation and Leadership (EPL). April’s research interests include friendship development and peer supports for individuals of all abilities, inclusive education teacher preparation and post-secondary education programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
