Sister Talks of Sibling Bonds and Disability Advocacy

This episode of ACCESSIBLE: The Podcast features Katie Arnold, an inclusive researcher and disability advocate at the Department of Disability and Human Development at the University of Illinois Chicago.

Arnold intimately understands the sibling experience as she grew up with a sister with an intellectual and developmental disability. Arnold founded the Sibling Leadership Network, which provides support and resources for siblings of individuals with disabilities.

Hear Katie talk about her newest project, the Future is Now, a curriculum that walks families through how to plan for the future, ask difficult questions and make sure everyone’s needs are met. The Future is Now curriculum is available virtually for anyone, anywhere.
